The Northbay Regional CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management) Team has been developed in the Mitchell model
to address one of our greatest occupational hazards, critical incident stress.
Through CISM, it is our goal to promote advances in the prevention and treatment of critical incident stress-related
disorders.
We facilitate educational and support programs including, but not limited to, debriefings and defusings, pre-incident
training, peer support, disaster consultation, CISM team development and spouse/family support.
The team is made up of emergency services personnel, mental health care providers and clergy.
